This cleaner will get out ANYTHING. New and very old stains are no problem. I have tried everything on these multiple spots that were left by the previous owner. 4 years later, this stuff, take them out in just one small application. AMAZING is the only word that I can use to describe this cleaner.
It will take out dirt, oil, grease, wine, mold, blood,.....ANYTHING and only in one application!

Dyson DC24 Animal Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson DC24 Animal Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

Bought the Dyson DC24 Animal Ultra Lightweight vacuum based on reviews like these and Dyson's reputation, swallowing hard as I pass on much cheaper options. We have two small dogs, so not a lot of fur around. Noentheless, in the three weeks we have owned this vacuum, we have spent almost as much time dealing with the jamming of the brush bar as we have vacuuming. Jams require disassembling the brush assembly and cutting off strands of fur that have wrapped themselves tighly around the bar. In 35 years I've never had this problem with previous vacuums, even when we had a Golden Retriever. I suspect the product is underpowered and the brush bar design defective. For cat fur, this may work. If you have dogs, buy a cheaper and more powerful product.

Remanufactured Dyson DC17 Animal Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Remanufactured Dyson DC17 Animal Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been considering a Dyson vacuum for over a year - the high price was always a concern, along with wondering if the performance was really THAT GOOD. I was hoping a friend would get one so I could borrow it, but my friends haven't cooperated! We just got a dog about a month ago, and she's started shedding, so I thought that it was the perfect time to take the plunge into the Dyson pool of satisfied customers. I was a little conflicted about the re-manufactured Dysons, but until I see how the brand performs, spending over $500 was beyond my budget. I bought from Amazon because an extra one-year warranty is included.
I ordered the vacuum YESTERDAY and it arrived today (thanks to Amazon Prime free shipping!). Assembly took about 5 minutes after unpacking all the accessories. The manual is a little strange, but you can figure it out yourself by just looking at the unit. All you have to do is put the handle with the telescoping rod into the main body. My vacuum seems to be in new condition and still has that new-plastic smell. It's actually quite pretty with its purple highlights.
Now, to the test...I had just vacuumed (previous vacuum is a Eureka) the strip of carpeting from our kitchen into the living room, which is the main high-traffic area in our house. The berber carpet is beaten down, even though it's only about 5 years old, because we walk over this area many times a day. The nap is pretty shot, so I wasn't expecting a great result. But I was surprised and pleased to see that the carpet looks cleaner after using the Dyson.
When you first turn on the vacuum, it seems quiet compared to other vacs - I have a Eureka Boss SmartVac, and the Dyson is much quieter in comparison. But it does have a high-pitched whine in operation that might bother some people, so ear plugs or a set of headphones might be a good thing. I usually listen to the radio on a Walkman (remember those??) while I vacuum, so it won't bother me. The dog doesn't seem to enjoy it, though.
I got a LOT more dust, dirt and hair up from the carpet. In fact, I wonder if all that hair is from the dog we just got, because she hasn't been here that long! OK, well, so far, so good. I emptied the bin of the Dyson, which is easy and quick, just one button and done. I changed the bag on the Eureka and vacuumed the hallway from the living room to the bedrooms. The Eureka really sucks down onto the carpet *hard* when the bag is changed, but I'm not sure it is still getting ALL the dirt. It's hard to push and feels as if I am almost pulling the carpet up as I go.
The Dyson is much easier to push and as I vacuum, I wonder if it's really even doing anything, yet once again, when I go over the same area and check the dust bin, sure enough, there is another pile of dirt, dust, and hair. I wondered as I read other reviews whether people were just not used to seeing the stuff their vacuums picked up, because of the bags, so they merely *thought* the Dyson was getting more, but my two little tests have convinced me.
I also read Consumer Reports and they do not give the Dyson a very good score, not compared to other vacuums. That gave me pause, because I do take their reviews into consideration. But this time, I'm glad I didn't let their reviews keep me from buying this machine. Everywhere I went on the 'net, it was people absolutely RAVING over their Dyson. Now I'm one of them!!

Dyson DC17 Animal Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson DC17 Animal Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Strengths:
1. Best suction even among other Dyson models due to new Level 3 Root Cyclone.
2. Excellent build quality. Each piece is not an after-thought.
3. Best design - shape, color, material and operation.
Weaknesses:
1. Price - but you do pay for the technology it has to offer.
2. Heavy!
3. The cones gets clogged from fine dirt in time.
Summary: This is arguably one of the best "bagless" household vacuum cleaners money can buy. Dyson's root cyclone technology really does perform. And this latest Level 3 Root Cyclone trumps even its other models.
If you're serious about having a real clean environment, this is THE product to buy. I just moved into an apartment a month ago and they replaced the carpets in most of the area and steam cleaned the others that they deemed need not be replaced. I used the vacuum in both and I can tell you that steam cleaning old carpets may get rid of surface dirt and stains, but Dyson is your friend if you want to suck out most (if not all) the dirt hidden below the surface. I could not believe how much dust it was picking up in such a small area. The bin filled up pretty fast so I was on to round 2 in the same patch of rug. This time it was picking up very find dust. Dust that may have been stuck for years and was never sucked out from other vacuum systems. Round 3 time and you will smile when you realize there is nothing else that's being collected in the bin. As for the newly installed carpets, I could only collect find dust until no more could be collected.
Unlike other vacuums in the market, this is one heck of a quiet vacuum in a relative way. Of course it's still noisy, but as with other brands this won't hurt your noise environment. In fact I am able to vacuum even at night with no fear that my neighbors beside and above my unit will hear me.
You're not only paying for the suction technology, you're also paying for the build quality. Each part has quality reflected on it. While the design is modern.
Of course nothing is perfect. This thing is heavy. DO NOT vacuum the stairs while the machine is on the top stair because if this thing falls on you, there will be serious injury and damage.
The quick-draw expandable hose is a good idea. But it's also not as flexible as I would have imagined it to be. It's easy to expand and retract, but the long handle commands that the vacuum is at a distance from where you want to use the telescope handle if you want to operate it comfortably.
Among other bagless vacuums, this is the easiest to dump the contents. But just like all other bagless vacuums, dust will certainly be flying away from the trash unless you have a very deep trash can. Plus the fine holes around the cyclone technology gets clogged from fine dust in time so you will need to clean those tiny holes from time to time if you want the Dyson to perform it's best everytime.
The lifetime Hepa filter is a great addition below. They recommend only washing with water and drying at least 24 hours near a heater/radiator - and they really do mean 24 hours. It's big and thick so it won't dry out quickly. So if you find the need to frequently vacuum the next day, I recommend getting an extra Hepa filter to use.
The motorized brush bar helps pick up stuff from the carpet. This can be turned off for delicate rugs and floors. Just like other vacuums, hair and other long items can be trapped around the brush bar and need to be removed from time to time. It is also belt-driven so this can snap and break especially if inadvertently caught on a loose item. So be careful of this.
Overall, Dyson is a wonderful machine to have and will surely last longer if properly taken care of.
If you are extremely allergic to dust, I believe a better alternative is to go with Oreck XL as it ensures you will not be in contact with the dust particles due to it's ingenious bag design that closes shut when removed.

Designed for homes with pets, this Dyson upright vacuum cleaner features advanced Level 3 Root Cyclone technology to ensure thorough, efficient cleaning with no clogging or loss of suction. Dyson proves no loss of suction, best average pick up, and the claim"overall outcleans other vacuums" using results from IEC60312 Cl 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.8, 2.9, ASTM F608 and F558, and DTM 755--an independently conducted Dyson test. Effective for use on all floor types, the unit's motorized brushbar can be turned on to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, or turned off to protect rugs and delicate floors. The vacuum cleaner also comes equipped with a quick-draw Telescope reach; the wand releases and expands 16-feet at the touch of a button for stairs and high-reach cleaning. In addition, the unit's advanced mini turbine head cleans pet hair from confined spaces such as upholstery, stairs, and the car, and its low-reach floor tool attaches to the wand to clean hard-to-reach places such as under beds and sofas.
Thoughtfully designed, the unit's hygienic 5/8-gallon bin quickly empties without ever having to touch the dust--simply pull the trigger. The clear bin means no bags to buy, plus it allows for easily viewing the cleaning progress and gauging when it's full. Air expelled from the unit contains up to 150 times less mold and bacteria than common breathing air thanks to the vacuum's money-saving, lifetime HEPA filter. Furthermore, Dyson upright vacuums are the first and only vacuums certified asthma friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation. Other highlights include 220 air watts, auto carpet-height adjustment, a 35-foot cord, on-board tool storage, and an ergonomic design with a low handle that feels lighter to carry. The included carpet-care kit helps keep new carpets looking new. The Zorb powder absorbs dirt from carpets; the Dyzolve spray removes spills and marks. The durably built vacuum cleaner measures 26-2/3 by 13-1/5 by 43-1/2 inches and carries a five-year warranty.

Dyson Mini Turbine Tool Review

Dyson Mini Turbine Tool
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I read the negative reviews on this item with some surprise and amusement.
I have been using this tool for its designed use - cleaning stair steps. It works magnificiently.
Here are a few tips: (1) The turbine spins from pneumatic pressure. You must push and pull on the button to direct the air over the turbine so that it will spin the brush; (2) Once the brush is spinning, just as with a jet engine, excessive resistance will significantly impede the speed of the turbine and diminish performance. (3) The clogging occurs when you slow the turbine so much from resistance (by using it on things like soft pillows or piles of clothing) that the air cannot spin the turbine with sufficient velocity to remove the hair from the collection points - therefore it clogs.
Don't use this on soft pillows. The softness of the pillow will wrinkle and create a surface with too much resistance for the turbine to spin at the speed necessary to function. The mattress cleaning tool, stiff brush or extra soft brush work great on pillows (remove 100% of pet hair).
DO use it on stairs or any other firm surfaces. Give the turbine a few seconds to come up to speed. Keep it at speed and it will perform wonderfully.
I have a black labrador retriever. I vacuum her fur during shedding season (a few cookies helped her overcome her initial conclusion that I had gone mad) with the mattress attachment. Then I use this attachment to vacuum the stairs and the stiff upholstery.
Used as above, the attachment removes 100% of the dog hair from any firm surface and does an excellent job of cleaning.
I love my Dyson and everything about. I think I like it more than my wife.
I hope this helps.

Dyson Mattress Tool Review

Dyson Mattress Tool
Average Reviews:

The Mattress Tool is the most used tool from my Dyson DC14 Animal Upright Vacuum collection. I inherited a cat who assumes my queen size bed is hers. I use this tool on the mattress, mattress pad, feather bed, sheets (while still on the bed), pillow cases (left on the pillows),pillows and my beloved quilts and shams (easiest to clean while left on bed). It really saves time and my washer and dryer. I used to double and triple wash to get rid of the cat hair and have to clean hair out of the washer each time. I even use it on clothing (I put them on a hanger and hold the bottom down while gliding the tool downward). I also have a 12 yr. old German Shepherd who sheds a lot. I use the Mini Turbine Head to clean her super-sized bed and twin-sized sheets (easiest while still on bed). I also have the Low Reach Floor Tool. Fantastic for getting pet hair from under my heavy furniture. I've owned a lot of vacuums and Dyson is by far the best out there for pet owners. I use all of the tools and they are great. I hardly ever used the tools on my other uprights because they didn't seem to get enough suction to do the job right. After 12 years of struggling to keep up with all of the pet hair now I can get the job done in no time and the results are a truly clean house. I've actually reversed the damage to my carpets from embedded pet hair. Dyson is powerful enough to pull out the pet hair. Another good point, Dyson is the cleanest vacuum to use. No spilled dirt while emptying the dirt bin (like my other two bagless vacuums) and no nasty filters to wash every time you vacuum. How good can it possibly get?!!

I have a Dyson DC25 (ball) and this does not fit. I bought it because it's about the same price as the pet-hair brush alone but gives you to other simple attachement, the difference, the pet brush alone would fit my model perfectly, this won't.
What teh description leaves out is that it comes with two "universal" adapters. One of which may nearly fit your model, but unlike the nice attachments that come for your model, these do not snap in and lock tight while you work. Rather, you have one adapter for 3 parts that you must unsnap from one part (not real easy and hard on the thumbs, very slow, cumbersom) and attach to the next. These adapters DO NOT SNAP INTO YOUR DYSON!!! They press in, then the ends fall off as you work! They don't seal, they don't lock!
Worthless, expensive, junk.
Dyson failed. They should back up a quality vacuum with only quality attachments.

Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, 10 Inches, White Review

Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, 10 Inches, White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We were attracted to this fan due to its "cool" factor and it performs as advertised. However for its commanding price, it could use some improvements such as:
The silver coating on the 12" model looks like cheap plastic. We exchanged ours for the 10" model in gloss white and it presented a significantly more refined appearance.
We purchased the Dyson to replace a standard table fan in a mini-home theater room to reduce the noise level. Sadly, the Dyson, due to its high speed internal turbo motor, was noticeably louder than the fan it was to replace. We kept it anyhow but for a different application.
For the money, a simple remote control would have been a welcome addition.
The variable speed control is a nice touch but its range seems limited to "medium" on its lowest setting, reducing its usefulness for close-up gentle (and quiet) cooling (in our instance, sharing a computer table).
That said, it it does move a lot of air, looks great and it a no-brainer for anyone with small children.

A table fan that quietly and effectively cools an entire room without any blades? Introducing the Dyson Air Multiplier, which works differently from conventional fans. The Air Multiplier uses an airfoil-shaped ramp to amplify the airflow 15 to 18 times to create a cool blast of smooth air without the unpleasant buffeting caused by spinning blades. The energy-efficient motor draws in more than 5 gallons of air per second using the same technologies used in jet engines. The air passes over the airfoil-shaped ramp, which channels its direction. Air behind and around the machine is also drawn into the airflow, amplifying it at least 15 times for a quiet, cool breeze that will let you relax. With no blades or grille to get in the way, the Air Multiplier is safe around kids and pets, and it's easy to clean too. The touch-tilt feature pivots on its own center of gravity, letting it stay put without clamping. You can also adjust the airflow to get as much as you want. There's no "high," "medium," or "low"; the dimmer switch lets you set the exact power level you want. The Air Multiplier oscillates with a touch up to 90 degrees to cover a whole room. Includes base, loop amplifier, and operating manual. 2-year warranty. Measures 19.5 x 12 x 6 inches with 10-inch loop.

Really like this vacuum! It is a bit awkward when using the cleaning tools. It's hard to pull the vacuum around b/c the hose is stored in the handle. I drag it by the the handle on the bagless cylinder, but it's awkward. The side suction (up against your baseboards) is phenomenal! The ease of emptying the bagless cylinder is wonderful. We're not an allergy family, but spent the extra $ for the HEPA version of the DC33. The filters are washable, no replacing!

Dyson Ball DC24 Animal Upright Vacuum Review

Dyson Ball DC24 Animal Upright Vacuum
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I live in a basement studio with two dogs and a muddy yard, and this is the perfect vacuum cleaner for me. How many times has this floor really needed a quick vacuuming, but I just didn't feel like hauling my gigantic machine out and then manhandling it around the narrow spaces? Then spending half an hour dismantling it every time it sucked up a stray cable of yarn from the carpet? Now I find myself pulling out the Dyson just to get the dust bunnies or caked mud out of one corner!
It weighs about nine pounds, it fits in all my narrow spaces without having to move the furniture, the sphere turns on a dime, and it can suck the rust off of an abandoned Studebaker. The attachments click on simply and securely. The roller has a sensor that stops it from turning the moment it detects it slowing down because something is caught in the brush, so it doesn't wind around fifty times. The bucket is easy to clean. It's even light for carrying up stairs, and the stairway attachment is so compact that it does a good job.
The Dyson technology isn't really the Dyson Sphere of sci-fi stories, an artificial sphere millions of miles in diameter built around a sun to capture every kilowatt-hour of its energy in order to power an advanced civilization. It's named after James Dyson, the Briton who invented it. He went inside a sawmill and discovered that the walls were not covered with sawdust because it had a giant fan assembly that created a cyclone effect, spinning the dust down into a collector. He immediately thought of building a vacuum cleaner with the same cyclone technology, since the accumulation of dust on the sides of a brand new bag saps half the power of a conventional vacuum within a few minutes after turning it on for the first time.
Potential demerits: It doesn't have a height adjustment so it may not be the best for thick carpeting. It's got a narrow footprint so if you have a large area it may require more passes. The power cord is fairly short, but then electrical cords are very heavy and that would just add to the weight. It has a bucket instead of a bag so you have to wash it out when you empty it. That doesn't happen very often in my tiny space but again, the small bucket is not meant for a big house.
The larger version of this has all those features you'd want in a big house, but it weighs more and doesn't go into narrow spaces. And when I bought mine, the larger one was actually cheaper.
Other companies have ripped off the idea since it's almost too simple to patent effectively. I have no idea how their products compare. I love my Dyson because it is PURPLE!

Dyson DC14 All-Floors Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson DC14 All-Floors Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Dyson is a great product but it's certainly NOT perfect. The 'Never lose suction' tagline is a marketing ploy, since Dyson too will get clogged and lose suction if not properly maintained. All other vacuum machines will NOT lose suction either if the filter bags are replaced often enough.
Overall, however, its performance beats all other vacuums (including the over-hyped Oreck, which is simply a rip-off) hands-down.
- Every few months, the user must clean out the central cylinder of the very fine dust, or it will get clogged and lose suction. The way you do this is by removing the dust collector and then separate the core cylinder from the glass casing. Use another vacuum to suck dirt out of the little holes on the side of the cylinder. Also, if you look up the cylinder from the bottom, you'll see caked dust collected at the top of the cylinder. If you gently bang the cylinder (upright) on the floor, you'll be shocked how much fine dust (about two cups worth) will fall out of the cylinder. Use the other vacuum to suck them away. Also, take out the 'permanent' filter and wash them. They, too, get clogged with the very fine dust.
- The machine is very heavy and bulky, and it's quite a chore to transport it between floors. The hose extension is very awkward to use because the point of bending is near the tip. The high profile of the vacuum head makes it impossible to vacuum under the bed, couch, etc.
- The instruction manual is poorly written, and setting up and maintaining the machine takes a steep learning curve. Dyson should include a video instruction.
- I, too, and concerned about how much carpet fiber the Dyson is tearing off the carpet, which you can clearly see in the dust collector. However, you can also see the amount of coarse and fine dust it's picking up as well. One impressive feature of Dyson that lived up to the hype is that it will pick up much dust from carpet that was just cleaned by a regular vacuum machine.
- Dyson rarely goes on sale, but I bought mine at Sears, which had Dyson on sale last year for $379. Also, buy the regular Dyson and avoid the 'Animal', which is a rip-off. The rotating brush that comes with the 'Animal' is air powered and is too weak to work well on the stairs.
Summary: If you have a large house with a lot of carpeted areas, then Dyson is for you. You may also build some muscle by carrying this behemoth up and down the stairs. However, you may need another vacuum for the stairs and also for a quick clean up in the kitchen.

Designed for all floor types, this Dyson upright vacuum cleaner features a motorized brushbar that can be turned on to remove dirt and pet hair from carpets, or turned off to protect rugs and delicate floors. The vacuum cleaner uses Root Cyclone technology to ensure no loss of suction. Dyson proves no loss of suction using the IEC 60312 Cl 2.9 test standard. The unit's pre-motor filter removes particles down to 0.1 micron and can be washed, while its post-motor electrostatic filter, which never needs replacing, traps harmful carbon emissions from the motor.
The vacuum cleaner also comes equipped with a quick-draw Telescope reach; the wand releases and expands 17-feet at the touch of a button for stairs and high-reach cleaning. In addition, special edge-cleaning whiskers, angled to reach down between the skirting board and the floor, flick the dust from the edge into the airflow. The intake nozzles of the on-board tools direct high-velocity airflow down into the carpet pile, which provides two main advantages. More gets picked up because the directional force of the air agitates and dislodges dust, and it keeps airflow continuous even when vacuuming curtains or upholstery, preventing them from becoming stuck to the cleaner.

Thoughtfully designed, the unit's hygienic 5/7-gallon bin quickly empties without ever having to touch the dust--simply pull the trigger. Other highlights include a 14-foot quick-draw hose, a wide channel for picking up larger pieces, auto carpet-height adjustment, a 35-2/5-foot cord, and an ergonomic design with a low handle that feels lighter to carry. The durably built vacuum cleaner measures 13-3/8 by 14 by 44-6/7 inches and carries a five-year warranty.

Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Upright Vacuum, Bagless, UH70120 Review

Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Upright Vacuum, Bagless, UH70120
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I previously had a Hoover Windtunnel, it lasted two houses and over 9 years and it finally had enough of keeping up with our two children and 4 pets. So I went out to every website I could find with reviews on vacuum cleaners, including Amazon, and looked at everything from the Dyson, Kenmore, Dirt Devil, Hoover, and so many more. I promised myself that after I used my vacuum cleaner for 3 months I would help all those out there like me looking for a good review and let them know about my experience because the reviews were so helpful to me.
So after reading a bunch of reviews I was leaning towards a Dyson or a Kenmore Progressive. Well my friend had a Dirt Devil M140005 Vision Cyclonic 12 Amp Upright Vacuum Cleaner, a Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum, and a canister vacuum cleaner (forgot the brand) that she let me test out. Let's just say I hated all three, the Dirt Devil was a joke, the Kenmore was so heavy and a pain to use, the canister was a pain to use and none of them worked well with pet hair.
So then I went to a local store and looked at the Dyson DC 23 Motorhead and really considered paying over $400 for it. But then I looked down the aisle and there not too far down from it stood the Hoover UH70120 WindTunnel and it was only $100 so I decided to give the Hoover a try thinking if I wasn't satisfied I could take it back. I am so happy that I saved $300 and love how well my Hoover works. It sucks up pet hair off the furniture very well, I have hardwoods throughout my house and it picks up fur and dirt off the floor without blowing it around (the suction is great) and I only have 3 complaints but ya know for the price I can live with them. Complaint #1 I wish the powered hand tool stuck on a little bit better to the vacuum cleaner, if I am not careful to put it on correctly it falls off, so I need to be a little more careful, Complaint #2, empting out the canister can be a little bit dirty so I always do it outside and then it's fine, Complaint #3, I love the retractable cord, I just wish it were up a little higher instead of so low, it would just help keep it from going under the vacuum cleaner but, there is a little clip and if you clip the cord to the vacuum cleaner you don't have to worry about it going under the vacuum cleaner so problem solved.
So I say save your money instead of wasting it on a Dyson or a Kenmore for the price this vacuum cleaner is so worth it.

Combining superior performance with a lightweight design at just 16.5 pounds, this bagless upright vacuum cleaner offers powerful cleaning throughout the home, from top to bottom. The unit's five-position carpet-height adjustment allows for effectively cleaning of all floor types. The patented WindTunnel technology features air passages that help maintain suction power and traps dirt and channels it into the dirt cup-- which means the dirt and debris stay in the machine, not scattered back out onto the floor. For above-floor cleaning, the Hoover T-Series provides a variety of onboard accessories that easily attach to its 8-foot flexible hose. Accessories include a 12-inch extension wand, a crevice tool for between couch cushions, back into corners, and baseboards; and an upholstery/dusting brush for draperies, furniture, lampshades, and vents. It also comes with a powered hand tool for removing dust, dirt, and pet hair from hard-to-reach places. With Hoover's bagless technology, you will never have to worry about loss of suction with proper care. For added convenience, the unit requires minimal maintenance thanks to its rinse-clean filter and high-quality permanent HEPA filter; a system-check indicator lets users know when the filter needs to be cleaned. Other highlights include a comfort-grip handle, 13-1/2-inch-wide nozzle, no-scuff bumper, and intuitive fingertip controls. The T-Series also comes with quick cord-rewind-- a 27 foot power cord that retracts automatically with a gentle tap of the foot pedal. There is also a cord clip just below the handle on the back side of the unit to keep the cord out of the way while cleaning. Requiring minimal assembly, the 12 amp upright vacuum cleaner measures approximately 12 by 16 by 44 inches and carries a two-year limited warranty.

Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum, 71B Review

Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum, 71B

Two cats and two fabric-covered couches, can you feel my pain? After a while, I was going nuts. I'd go broke buying the adhesive type lint rollers, the rubber ones (search for "sweepa") and the reusable brush type didn't do the job. All I'd heard about was dysons, dysons, dysons, so I started saving. But then I thought, hey, what I want is the little motorized roller brush attachment -- so I got online, started searching, and found this. I figured $40 as opposed to $500 was worth a try, especially with the good reviews.
and it *was*. It gets all the cat hair off my couch, and the nice thing is that the hose just tugs right out and you can also get the little cracks and crevices without missing a beat. The "riser visor" thing, I thought was kinda silly til I started using it -- and it's great. You can vacuum horizontally and vertically, and for furniture, stairs, etc--a great feature.
My only complaint is that it's just a *bit* heavy, especially for longer use. Wears that arm out, but that can be a good thing, too.
I'm still hoping to get a dyson eventually, but for the job I wanted to do, getting pet hair off my furniture -- this is *perfect*.

Remove deeply embedded dirt from anywhere in your home or car. Ideal for cleaning stairs and auto upholstery, this hand vacuum cleans with the help of a revolving brushroll with Riser Visor, a stretch hose and attachments for getting into tight spaces. The onboard crevice tool gets into those places too small for the brushroll. Hand-held but very powerful, this Eureka model eliminates the hassle of lugging around a full-size vacuum for cleaning car upholstery, sofas, and carpeted stairs. A long 20-foot cord (which wraps for storage) provides good reach, as does the deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length. With the crevice tool on the end of the hose, this vacuum reaches into all kinds of tight places. And, with two motors, one to power the revolving brush and one for suction, the 5.5 amp vacuum cleans deeply.
One of Eureka's innovations is the Riser Visor, a clear plastic cover that stays down for cleaning horizontal surfaces and flips up so the revolving brush can reach the vertical carpet on stair risers. There's no bag to change, just a filter and clear plastic dust cup to shake out when necessary. --Ann Bieri

Dyson 91304901 Handheld Tool Kit for DC31 Handheld Vacuums Review

If you are thinking of getting this kit to use in a car like I did be forewarned that the DC31 loses too much power with the hose attached, making it useless. Don't get me wrong! The other 3 accessories are great but the kit is hampered by the hose and may not be worth the cost if you factor out the hose. (these attachments should have come with the DC31 for the price it cost)

Dyson Zorb Carpet Maintenance Powder Review

Dyson Zorb Carpet Maintenance Powder

This stuff works great! My carpets range from 22 years old to 10 years old. It deodorizes, and cleans to renew your old carpets! Great for in between steam cleanings. Easy to use...just sprinkle on, brush in and let dry - dust, dirt and animal hair cling to the sawdust looking particles and it easily vaccuums up! In less than 30 minutes your carpets are dust free, dirt free and smelling great, there are no overpowering smells, just clean! It is great for allergies!
