(More customer reviews)I ordered this replacement hose for my Dyson after calling the company directly and finding out they can't sell to customers in New York State due to tax complications. Dyson referred me to a business called Factory Direct which could sell it to me, but the price was $20 more than Dyson's $39.xx. So I purchased this item on Amazon expecting it to be--as described--a 'Dyson' DC07 hose.
When it arrived I realized that this is a generic replacement part, not made by Dyson. Though I returned it because I wanted the genuine article I have to say the quality is very good--not quite the level of the Dyson manufactured part, but certainly an adaquate and functional replacement.
The color didn't match though. The yellow parts are simply bright yellow and not the Steel-Yellow of the vacuum. I would have preferred if they made that bit simply gray instead because the color difference made it look cheesy.
BOTTOM LINE: Though this part is not of equivilant quality to the same by Dyson, it will work just fine. The yellow plastic section is not made of as rigid a plastic as the Dyson, and the color doesn't match, but if you don't care about these things then this is a good replacement of more than adaquate quality for most applications. I don't know if it would stretch the length of a stairway repleatedly as well or as durably as the Dyson hose, but otherwise it will probably hold up just fine.
