(More customer reviews)The new beater bar works well. It was a challenge to replace though and there were no instructions. You basically have to forcibly stretch the belt to get the old one off and the same to get the new one on. I could find no easy way to get to the belt drive itself and I took out a lot of screws. If I ever need to do it again I will take it to a professional for a new belt, brush and thorough cleaning. We do love our Dyson though. No other sweeper has ever done so well for so long, 8 years now.
